UVA - fruto carnoso e rico em sumo, envolvendo pequenas sementes. Fruto da videira ou parreira, nativa das regiões temperadas do hemisfério norte, contém açúcar (glicose ou dextrose) em quantidades que variam conforme a espécie, sendo o vinho produzido por sua fermentação. No Brasil, cultivam-se várias espécies, cuja distinção se faz por sua resistência às adversidades climáticas, principalmente excesso de chuvas na época de maturação do fruto.

GRAPE- it is a pulpy juicy fruit with small seeds. Produced by vines, native in mild weather zones of the Northern Hemisphere. The amount of sugar it contains (glucose or dextrose) varies according to the species. It fermentation produces wine. In Brasil, se veral species are grown. They are know for their outstanding resistance to severe weather, mainly excessive rain in their maturation period.
