O frevo, de grande valor, para a cultura pemambucana
brasileira, congrega a expressão e reação do povo, fazendo emergir a grande massa delirante do carnaval de rua, com suas cores vibrantes e ritmo contagiante.Denominada passo, essa dança de jogo de braços e pernas nos é apresentada como legado da capoeira. No entanto, diferentemente da qlpoeira, no passo os dançarinos praticamente não se tocam e quase não há movimentos com as mãos no chão. Nas roupas percebe-se um padrão de cores, tecidos e brilhos, assim como o uso da sombrinha pequena e colorida, maior símbolo do frevo hoje.
