LARANJA - A mais valiosa das frutas cítricas. Sua planta, considerada cosmopolita, apresenta folhas persistentes e aromáticas. O suco dessa fruta é muito rico em vitamina C, açúcares e sais minerais. Natural da Asia, apresenta muitas variedades, resultantes do cultivo e da hibridação de diferentes espécies pertencentes ao gênero Citrus, da família das rutáceas. E utilizada em larga escala na indústria de sucos e na produção de doces, em que até a casca da fruta é aproveitada.

ORANGE - It is the most valuable of the citric fruits. The so-called cosmopolitan tree has persistent and aromatic leaves. Its juice is rich in vitamin C, sugar and minerals. This Asian fruit is rather diversified, due to its growth and to the breeding of different species of the genus Citrus, of the rutaceas family. It is largely used in the juice industry and in the production of preserves, where even the rind is used.
